Overview

Welcome to TürkçeKonuş Privacy Policy! The TürkçeKonuş website and service are provided by Ideal Education Consultancy and Education Services LTD. (“TürkçeKonuş,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We understand that you care about how your information is used and shared, and we appreciate your trust that we will do so carefully and sensibly. This notice describes our privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) for TürkçeKonuş website (“Site”) and TürkçeKonuş mobile application (“Application”) directed at general audiences and found at www.turkishspeak.com.

Information We Collect and How We Use It

The primary purpose of collecting personal information is to provide you with a safe, seamless, efficient, and personalized experience. This allows us to offer services and features that are likely to meet your needs and customize our service to make your experience better and easier.

You can browse sections of our Site without providing us with personally identifiable information. However, certain uses of the Site or Application, including but not limited to using the Site in a certain way and practicing language skills through a video chat session, require you to register through the Site or Application; in such cases, we collect and store information, including information voluntarily provided by you upon registration to the Site or Application, which may include personally identifiable information.

You may choose not to provide certain information, but by doing so, you may not be able to take advantage of certain features and functionalities of our Site and Application. We use personally identifiable information to provide you with the Site and Application and to improve our Site, Application, and other products and services through analysis and aggregated data that allows us to understand user preferences and interests.

In addition to the specific uses outlined below, we may use the information we collect for the following general purposes:

Creating and maintaining a user account for purposes you provide information to us;

Providing you with the features and functionality of the Site and Application;

Personalizing the content you see based on your personal features and preferences;

Developing our Site, Application, and other products and services;

Resolving issues, providing necessary notifications to you, enforcing our User Agreement (e.g., when necessary to protect our or a third party’s intellectual property rights or property rights), or alerting you to changes in our policies or agreements that may affect you.

Information We Collect About Site Users

Log Files

Like many websites, the Site automatically collects certain information about our traffic and stores it in log files. This information includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. We use this information, which does not identify individual users on its own, to analyze trends, manage the Site, track user movements around the Site, and gather demographic information about our user base. We may link automatically collected information to personally identifiable information. In such cases, it will be treated and disclosed as personally identifiable information under this Privacy Policy.

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes. We use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies on the Site. A session ID cookie expires when you close your browser. We use session cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our Site. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive for an extended period of time. You can remove persistent cookies by following directions provided in your Internet browser’s “help” file. We set a persistent cookie to store your password so you don’t have to enter it more than once. Persistent cookies also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our Site.

We use marketing services provided by Google and other third parties that allow us to serve ads to users after they have left our Site. This is a common practice known as “Remarketing.” Users will not see more ads as a result of remarketing; instead, they are more likely to see ads for TürkçeKonuş products and services. All third-party marketing service providers we use to assist with remarketing use cookies as part of the remarketing service. For more information about remarketing and opt-out options, please visit:

If you choose to reject cookies in your browser settings, you may still use our Site, but your ability to use certain areas of our Site may be limited.

Clear Gifs (Web Beacons/Web Bugs)

We may use a software technology called “Clear Gifs” (a.k.a. Web Beacons or Web Bugs), which helps manage content on the Site by tracking which content is effective. Clear Gifs function similarly to cookies. They are tiny graphics with a unique identifier placed on web pages and are used to track online movements of Site users. Unlike cookies stored on a user’s computer’s hard drive, Clear Gifs are embedded invisibly on web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence.

Information we receive about you may be accessed, processed, and retained for an extended period of time when it is the subject of a legal request or obligation, governmental investigation, or investigations concerning possible violations of our terms or policies, or otherwise to prevent harm.

Sale of Business

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. Security of Your Information

The security of your personal information is important to us. We follow generally accepted standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once it is received. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. If you have any questions about security on our Site, you can contact us at support@turkishspeak.com.

Data Integrity

We process personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected and in accordance with this Privacy Policy or any applicable service-specific privacy notice. We review our data collection, storage, and processing practices to ensure that we only collect, store, and process the personal information needed to provide or improve our services. We take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we process is accurate, complete, and current, but we depend on our users to update or correct their personal information whenever necessary.

Data Retention

We retain personal information we collect from you where we have an ongoing legitimate business need to do so (for example, to provide you with a service you have requested or to comply with applicable legal, tax, or accounting requirements). When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize it or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

Children’s Privacy

Our Site and Application are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
